My cats are mother and daughter and are 26 and 25 years old. So maybe i should try for oldest related cats. The "younger" one is still a vivid hunter and hasn"t given up bringing me live prey to introduce me to the fine art of killing rodents and birds. Amazingly they still haven"t really got used to each other and are definitely not enjoying each other's company. So far for cats having strong minds. Up till now only one visit at the veterinarian necessary between the two of them. Just hope it stays like that. Simply great to come home from deployments abroad and find them alive

My beautiful "Mora" is a 19 year old, spayed Himalayan lady who I adopted when she was 8 years old. We are two old ladies living together - LOL! She is the most loveable cat I've ever had or known and she "talks" to me to tell me when she wants to be fed, also to greet me when I come home, and has her own little chirp sign to say "Good Morning Mom". She gets lots and lots of loving, eats premium cat food especially made for kidney preventive diseases, along with canned chicken, and goes to the Vet every 6 weeks to have the tartar on her teeth removed. She still has all her teeth, gets complete blood work done every year, and a complete Vet health exam every 6 months. Hopefully, "Mora" will live for many, many more yearsl Her nickname is "My Love Bug".

When mum 1st adopted me she took me to the vets for a check up. I was the oldest cat she'd ever known but the guy sitting next to us had a cat who was 25 years old. He'd taken in a cat and 3 kittens and they all lived into their 20's. The 25 year old tabby was the last of the kittens and was in amazing shape. Mum will tell our vet about this so they can let the guy know.

I adopted my first Siamese cat at the age of 16. His family was going overseas and couldn't take him. He lived to be almost 21. I truly think because of modern medicine that we'll be seeing cats live to their late twenties and beyond! The blood pressure machine they use on me is just like the one they use on mom... except much tinier! *giggles* It's so cute!

Go kitties!

I thought my sisfur Trixie was amazing - she went to the Bridge when she was 26 years old. She was the sweetest little cat you could meet.

My sisfur Boomer was a spring chicken compared to these girls! She went to the Bridge when she was 23.5. She had all her teeth and her fur was still beautiful, tho more white has crept in.
