Our buddy Snuzzy passed the following along to us. Although worthy of a hearty laugh, I have one nit to pick: I purrsonally think “it” should be postioned as an “X” instead of a “+“. What do you think? And exactly how will your cats feel when they see you using it?

Hey evrybuddy, Skeezix heer. Do yoo have a kyoot owtfit to ware for St Patrick’s Day? If not, yoo’d better hurry cuz time is running out and if yoo don’t ware green on St Paddy’s Day, yoo’ll get pinched!
The kyoot owtfit above is from one of my favorite fashun lines, Loki’s “Chat Couture” clothing. Loki is an innernet sellebrity with his paws in all kinds of diffrint things like purrdoosing and starring in “Orange Cat Blues,” deezining kyoot owtfits, and even writing books! The dress above is modeled by his housemate, Laz. Yoo may know Laz frum Loki’s vlog on likking, ware Laz nommed Loki’s hed! It krakt me up!
Loki’s deezines allow for a full range of motion in the arms, wich is vary important fur cats, so they are vary cumfterbul to ware. This is an importunt thing to remember win shopping fur St Patrick’s Day clothing, sinse yoo’ll be dansing lots of jigs and reels and drinking Mother’s Milk wich makes it hard to walk strate or find the litter box.
I know all this abowt Loki’s Chat Couture clothing cuz I own sum of it myself. In fact, win I wint to Ireland, I wore my Irish vest that was deezined by Loki. Win I wore it, I looked like a native:
If your person is good at sewing, Loki also has purrdoosed a “How to Make a Shirt” video in which he shows yoo how to make a cat shert yerself.
Drop by his Etsy shop and tell him Skeezy sent ya!

 Skeezix got a Valentine’s gift yesterday from his special friend Daisy, and I am SO IN LOVE with the packaging, I just had to share it with you (see above). It’s from Jake & Micah (who happen to be Catsters — although Micah supervises from The Bridge).
I swoon over great graphics and presentation, so I really needed a drool cup when I saw this. The gift came wrapped with a gloss-white paper, simply tied with blue ribbon that’s secured with a Jake & Micah mini button (cute!) The gift card was top quality, and the message was hand-written. Skeezix has to wait until Valentine’s Day to open his gift, but I know he won’t be disappointed: Jake & Micah offer a wide selection of handmade cat toys with high-test organic catnip that I’m sure he’ll have a lot of fun destroying.

Jake & Micah is a Catster Marketplace Merchant, where you’ll find lots of other great cat-related items. Don’t forget to check out Jake’s Catster page: there’s an animation of Jake’s silly face that will put a grin on your face in time for the weekend!

Cat author Dena Harris pointed out a groundbreaking new product to me: A remote control for your cat! I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve wanted to mute Mao (the vocal Siamese), or press a button that would get Rocky to finally hock up that hairball. This product appears to fill the bill. Even better, it requires no batteries and works solely on the power of pawsitive thinking. Here’s the description from Think Geek’s website:
Cats are known for many things. The dexterity to always land on their feet and the cleanliness of their fur coats. The ability to knock over a lamp or slam into a screen door and casually continue along as if nothing happened. The nerve to shred your furniture with their claws and somehow look cute doing it. The thoughtfulness of bringing home their latest bird catch and dropping it off at the backdoor as a “present” for you.
Cats are not known, however, for their ability to learn and obey the commands of their owners. That’s where the Control-a-Cat Remote Control can come in handy.
Simply point at your cat, press buttons on the remote and hope for the best. With buttons for “Stop Scratching”, “Show Affection”, “Remain Aloof” and others, you’ll be in control in no time. It’s finally your turn to make your cat do what you want.
* Point at subject, press button, hope for the best
* 21-button novelty remote control
* No batteries required – powered by positive thinking
* Dimensions: 5.5″ x 2.2″ (14 x 5.5 cm)
This amazing product is sold at ThinkGeek.com and sells for just under $7.

Feel a little guilty leaving Fluffy at home alone all day? Check out the Chatterbowl pet bowl — a Super Bowl if ever there was one!
The Chatterbowl records your purrsonal message and plays it anytime your pet nears the bowl. You can entice, cajole or threaten your cat to eat, or simply tell her that you love her and miss her. Optionally, you can buy a motion-activated TalkBox so that you can tell Fluffy to get off the counter, or just mess with her head.
But before you buy one, note that the Chatterbowl’s deep-dish bowl design is better suited to dogs than cats. Fluffy is likely to experience whisker stress when eating from the Chatterbowl, so it might be better to buy a feline-friendly bowl and position the Chatterbowl standalone TalkBox nearby.
Here’s a question for you: If you had a Chatterbowl, what message would you record for your cat?

Recently, PC World showcased some of the newest high-tech pet products. Here are the ones I covet:
Pet’s Eye View Digital Camera
Uncle Milton’s Pet’s Eye View digital camera won’t break the bank. For just $40, you can see the world from Fluffy’s POV. This ultracompact and water-resistant digicam attaches to your cat’s collar like an ID tag. The internal memory stores up to 40 shots, and you can set the timer to take a picture automatically at preset intervals. If you’re wondering what the attraction is, take a look at the adventures of Mr Lee! (BTW, Mr Lee’s dad is working on a live cat cam… stay tuned!)
iSeePet360 Food Dispenser With Webcam
Want to check up on Fluffy during the day when you’re at work? The iSeePet360 food dispenser will not only drop kibble into the bowl at your remote command, it also has a built-in webcam, AND a voice recorder so you can call your cats to lunch. How cool is that? It’s pricey fun, though: only available in Japan, it currently retails for around $440.
Litter Robot
If the Jetsons had a cat, they would have a Litter Robot. It’s an self-cleaning litterbox in a space-age package. All the electrical stuff is neatly tucked away in its own compartment so it’s completely safe for Fluffy. The Catsters I know who have them swear by them, but they’ll set you back about $330.
Drinkwell Pet Fountain
Drinkwell Pet Fountains have been around forever; I bought my first one in 1996. Although the Drinkwell is not news, it’s such a great product that I think it’s worth bringing to your attention.
As most of you know, cats prefer drinking running water to still water, and keeping your cat hydrated is an important element in your cat’s wellness program. The Drinkwell provides 24/7 filtered running water — so your cat will always have fresh water available in a fountain format. No more jumping up on the sink to lick from the faucet. (OK, I can’t guarantee they’ll stop jumping up on the sink, but they’ll no longer have a reason to cop a drink from the faucet.) The Drinkwell is available in four models–Original ($50), Platinum ($70), Big-Dog ($75), and 360 ($65), and you can get models with a 50- or 70-oz. reservoirs that ensure the well won’t run dry.

 Talk about a niche market! You all know how Skeezix loves chillaxin’ with a tall pint of mother’s milk after a long day of blogging, and he recently turned me on to Marc Gunn, a fellow who has produced several CDs of Irish drinking songs for cat lovers, including such classics as “What Shall We Do with a Catnipped Kitty” and “Whiskers in the Jar.” Purrfect accompaniment to a foamy pint o’ Mother’s Milk. You can listen to the entire album at CatDrinkingSongs.com.
Slainte!

I just finished the online photo essay, “Urban Tails… Inside the Hidden World of Alley Cats,” and am unable to convey in words what a lush and soulful experience it was. The online preview (which features over 100 high-resolution photos) is a promotion for the printed book which is available for purchase at Amazon. Prints, calendars and cards are available for purchase at urbantailsbook.com.
As you turn the page, each photo is a new delight, seemingly better than the one before it. One would think that in a book like this, text would be superfluous, but the narrative is a purrfect and poetic counterpoint. It’s a richly evocative experience.
I’m not saying one more word because it will waste valuable time you could be spending enjoying it. Check out the online preview, then click over to Amazon and buy the book.
