8 Things Cats Do with Their Heads in the Toilet
Karen Nichols

In our house, there’s a standing order to leave the toilet seat down, because an uncovered toilet offers our cats an irresistible temptation to explore. Funny, that, given our cats’ aversion to water.

Luckily, I recently discovered what they find so compelling. Here’s your guide to “What Cats Do When Looking Inside the Toilet,” courtesy of you.uz.

cat 9

Reading Books

cat 7

Secretly drinking whisky

cat 6

Underwater swimming

cat 5

Catching dinner

cat 4

Doing magic. Cats can do that too!

cat 3

Spycat Stuff

cat 2

Plumbing

cat 1

Voting in cat elections

So, what do YOUR cats do with their heads inside the toilet???

Easter from the Cat’s Purrspective
Skeezix the Cat

Hey evrybuddy, Skeezix heer. I hope at leest a few of yoo can identify with the kartoon above. It was created by Catster Raza as an ongoing project in Catster’s Cats and Pups in Cartoons Group. I caught up with Raza reesintly to find out more about this funny feline band of cartoonists:

Skeezix: How did the Cats and Pups in Cartoons groop get its start?
Raza: We started Drawing cartoons when LOKi started a group called…. actually I can’t remember what it was called but the name changed to Cats and Pups in Cartoons/movies.

Cats were writing stories, and we decided to join in with drawing cartoons. The first cartoon or should I say cat-toon was rolled off the drawing board on the 22nd Sept 2007. We based it on the furgang here and the interaction with Catster.

We aimed to draw one a week. Luckily, a few months later we were joined by Squirrel who contributed her excellent sense of humour and fun with her style. Which was great because we were very different. Then a few months later, we were joined by Wanda and Pooters. Again it was pawsome, it brought another way of doing cartoons, Pooters with her sweet stories about a cat and her adventures and Wanda with her wicked sense of humour with her imikimi cartoons.

Skeezix: Do yoo reely post a new cartoon evry singul week?
Raza: I think there has only been one week that was ever missed since we started drawing the cartoons. When I say we, I mean the group we call ourselves the Cartoons on Catster group and we post out to groups every week and also to the Cats and Pups in Cartoons / movies group,so if you miss any you can always catch them there.

We were so lucky the others joined in, as we ourselves haven’t posted in some time. Last year our main character (Mr D) went walk about and it was tricky to draw cartoons with out him being here. I think it’s been Wanda that has kept us all going with her cartoons every week. She’s the greatest.

I do hope everyfur enjoys the cartoons it’s actually the nice comments we receive that keep us drawing them as we just do it them for fun!

Skeezix: Well thanks for giving the Cat’s Meow that grate Easter cartoon, Raza, and fur taking time owt of yer bizzy day to talk to me!

And just a reeminder for yoo cats hoo are inclined to dress up for Easter: The Cat’s Meow is hosting an Easter Purrade on Sunday. Winner gits 50 zealies AND will by feechered on Snuzzy.com on Monday. Klik heer for deetales.

Is Garfield–Not Skeezix–First in the Hearts of Catsters?
Skeezix the Cat

polljpg.jpg

Hey evrybuddy, Skeezix here. This week thare’s a Catster pole asking hoo yer all-time faverite famous cat is. Maybey it’s becuz Garfeeld is listed ferst and I’m listed last, but I am lagging vary far behind Garfeeld (hoo, by the way has NO fashun sense) in the voting.

This has reezulted in a big crisis in self-esteem for me. Maybe even an existenshul crisis. And other werries, too. Like maybe TR will wunt to hire Garfeeld as the Catster blogger insted of me. So I’m riting a list of the akshuns I need to take to better pozition myself to win a popyularity pole aginst Garfeeld:

tuxedo.jpg

  • Eet lots of lazagne. (Mite be tuff. Fansy Feest duzn’t make lazagne.)
  • Die my furs orange. (Looks good on Calvin, but it’s not reely my color.)
  • Git a sidekik like Odie. (Any takers?)
  • Make over a billyun dollars in merchandizing revenoo eech yeer (Obviusly, my Zazzle shop just isn’t cutting it.)
  • Make sum feecher films. (How do I git the Hollywood Bigwigs to take a meeting?)
  • Gane 20 pownds. (I eet 5 cans of Fansy Feest a day, and I’m still only slitely beefier than Barney Fife. Any sugjeschuns?)

Any ideas yoo have will be vary much appreshiated. And if yoo have a minit, pleeze cast a vote for me. Or “MOI” as Garfield might say (or was that Miss Piggy? I get those porkers mixed up.)

Your Saturday Morning Cartoon: Knock, Knock. Who’s There?
Karen Nichols

The following is a sequel to this memorable cartoon I posted a couple of weeks ago. Aside from the humor, the astute depiction of cat behavior and the expressive line drawings, the sound effects are purrfect. Enjoy!
