Reward Reaches $7500 in Southern Florida Cat Mutilations
Cat owners in Palmetto Bay, Florida have been warned to keep their cats indoors due to a heinous string of cat mutilations. Hopefully, the reward–which Miami-Dade Crimestoppers just raised to $7500–will provide an incentive for someone to come forward with information on the individual(s) responsible for the crime spree that has killed 29 cats to date.
Animal cruelty is a third degree felony punishable by a fine of up to $5,000 and/or imprisonment up to 5 years.
Authorities have asked that if you have any information, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS or send a text tip to 274637 (crimes). You will remain anonymous.
Those wishing to make a tax-deductible donation to Crime Stoppers may do so by making their checks payable to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers. Please write “donation – cats” on the memo line. Checks should be mailed to:

Hello Skeezy, That is a sad feature today. Disliking cats is ones choice, but to mutilate animals signals a severe mental condition by the party responsible. We hope this sick person is caught and brought to justice, along with mental help, before they harm some child.
WHAT? 29 cats? Mutilated? This creature is not mentally ill. It is EVIL! Only execution in a similar way to his victims will solve this problem. Sorry, but this is how serial killers get started,& if you ask any expert, they will tell you that there is NO cure for it. They will keep killing. That’s who they are.
Cali, I’d say that this is more then gets started. Who ever this is, is allready a serial killer.
Animal advocates here in CT have witnessed the successful prosecution of a cat-killer, Kyle Berry, who is currently incarcerated and will be sentenced in the Enfield Superior Court on Thursday June 11, 2009 in front of “hanging Judge” Howard Sheinblum. Come one, come all to see this scum pay for his reprehensible act, commited in front of a young child who is now in counseling..We would love to see a lot of animal-lovers there in support of justice prevailing.
I’m going to go on record with my solution to the case: coyotes. Where do I collect the $7500?
