Petsmart Contest Giveaway Exclusively for Cat’s Meow Readers
Karen Nichols

Petsmart is hosting a holiday giveaway exclusively for whiskered readers of the Cat’s Meow blog!

Do you want to pose for holiday photos, but don’t have a thing to wear? Petsmart will give away a free costume/hat or collar to one lucky reader of the Cat’s Meow blog!

Petsmart has a large array of Holiday costumes and apparel for cats and dogs, including festive collars and hats that are easier for costume-intolerant cats to wear. Dress up like Santa Claws or one of his reindeer for your holiday cards or holiday festivities!

TO ENTER:

1) Describe which Petsmart Holiday costume, apparel item or collar (see links below) you’d like to win and why, by leaving a comment in the comments field of this post. You can choose from both the cat and dog shops.
2) Provide your correct email address and blog or Catster Profile URL when you leave your comment so we can contact the winner.

There are no limitations on the form your entry can take. It can be a simple declarative statement, a poem, or a link to a blog post that contains multimedia content including photos and video.

EXAMPLE:

“I want to win the ‘Santa Claus Christmas Cat Coat’ because it’s a very cool costume and would be the purrfect thing for me to wear on Christmas morning.

WHO CAN ENTER:

All cats who have either a Catster ID or cat blog can enter. Up to 5 cats per household can enter, so long as each one has her own blog or Catster ID. Catster and Petsmart employees are not eligible. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any entries at their own discretion.

JUDGING:
A secret team of judges will select the winning entry based on originality and entertainment value. No purchase necessary, and a purchase will not increase your chance of winning. Your entry must be a single work of original material by the contest entrant. Play nice and don’t hiss. Judges’ decisions are final.

DEADLINE:

Entries must be posted in the comments field of this post before December 14, 2008 at 11:59pm PDT.

WINNER

Will be announced December 15th.

We’re not entering because we probably have more holiday clothes than PetsMart – MOL! I just wanted to comment on how cute those kitties are that are modeling! Good luck to all who enter!

I would love to win the Santa Claws Christmas Cat Collar.
I was born blind so I cannot see the holiday costumes, but the collar has bells which I can hear. (I depend upon my sense of hearing a lot.) I’m very friendly and love to play!
This will be my first Christmas and I want to be festive and enjoy the holiday just like any other kitty.

I would love to enter to win the Mrs. Claws Christmas Cat Skirt. It looks very girly and feminine. It would look purrfect with my Santa’s hat or my holiday scarf. The best part it doesn’t have to go on over my head.

I’d like to pretend to be Mrs. Claus,
I’d like to look real cute and pretty,
I’d like to sashay on all four paws,
cause I’m one fashion savvy kitty!

I’d love to have that skirt that is so pretty and red,
red is my best color, that is what mommy said,
and if on Christmas I have nothing to wear,
I just won’t be able to survive or be able to bare!

Please, oh please, oh please pick me,
I want to look cute and twril and prance!
I’d wear the skirt so proudly, don’t you see
and all I’d do on Christmas day is dance, dance, dance!

    Signed,

I would love to win the Santa Helmet pictured on your attractive model. I wish it not for myself but for my beloved brother, Orfiend. You see, he has a special affinity for helmets and I would not want to see him disappointed on Christmas morning. Thank you for your consideration, The Tazvestite.

    Dear Secret Team of Judges,
I would like to win the “Mrs. Claws Christmas Cat Skirt,” which I will wear to Christmas dinner. It is so fancy!
Best of all, it has an elastic waist, so I can eat lots and lots of ham and not worry about my dress getting too tight.
    It’s purrrfect!
    Happy Holiday Ham,
    Kat 3

Catzowey- I’d like my pal Christopher to win the bell ringing collar cuz it would be fantasticat for him and his family – he’s blind and the bells would help everyone find him easily! I hear bells everyday on my San Fran cable car commute to my job. Woo hoo – puhleezes Santa and Missus Santa Claws too, bring Christopher the collar cuz he’s been extra nice and never naughty!

    Mrow!

I would be glad to accept the jingle collar to befit my majestic maine on Christmas day.

It would make me even more handsome than I already am and perhaps offend my slobbering siblings that won’t have anything fancy to cavort around in on that special day.
