Interview with Joey, the World’s Coolest Outdoor Cat
Hey evrybuddy, Skeezix heer. Today I’m interviewing Joey, World’s Coolest Outdoor/Country Cat. That photo of Joey snoozin’ in the berd bath was one of the most unfergittable in last yeer’s Werld’s Coolest Cat Show. So I thot it was appropriate that me and Joey have a talk under the local berdbath.
Skeezix: What was your first reaction when you found out you won the Outdoor/Country Cats category in the 2007 World’s Coolest Cat Contest?
Joey: I was one stunned Joe! I know I’m cool, but it’s nice to be recognized by other cool cats. First I warped out on the sofa and totally went nuts. Then I warped out in the backyard and totally went bonkers. Then I went to sleep and totally went unconscious.
Skeezix: How did it change your life?
Joey: My coolness is now official. Dude, the pawpawratsy will not leave me alone! I thought about running for President, but I didn’t want to take any votes away from the less deserving.
Skeezix: What was your favorite prize?
Joey: Hmmm…that’s a tough one…they were all just so doggone cool! Cool books, cool Arm & Hammer stuff, cool fleece bed, cool five-pound box of money. Oh. Scratch that last one. The best part of all of it was all the empty boxes. Boxes are cool.
Skeezix: How much time did you practice outside for your winning Outdoors/Country cats photo?
Joey: Practice? Who needs practice? My natural talent for sleeping anywhere just came in handy when I saw the birdbath. I didn’t mean to fall asleep though. I was just there to do a little birdwatching. I swear.
It’s all so cool.
Skeezix: Any tips or pointers you’d like to share with this year’s contestants?
Joey: Be cool.
Skeezix: Are you planning on entering this year’s contest?
Joey: You bet! My personal photographer says there are one or two pics that almost do me justice. It would be cool to win again, but but I don’t want to take any votes away from the…well, you know…less cool.

Hello Skeezy. We really enjoyed the interview with Joey. We loved the fountain photo a lot. Bosco has a running water fountain, but not as nice as this one. When You Skeezy and I Bosco become new cabinet members at the White House maybe Joey could be a cabinet member too. Your bestest pal, Bosco!
