I’m thrilled to announce a giveaway exclusively for readers of the Cat’s Meow blog!
This month, Petsmart will give away a free Halloween costume or hat to one lucky reader of the Cat’s Meow blog!
Petsmart has a large array of Halloween costumes for dogs and cats, including headwear costumes that are easier for costume-intolerant cats to wear. And, between Petsmart’s Halloween photo contest, and Martha Stewart’s Pet Halloween Costume Contest, and you’ll have no shortage of occasions to wear your costume!
TO ENTER:
All you need to do is describe which Petsmart costume you’d like to win and why, by leaving a comment in the comments field of this post. Make sure you’ve input your correct email address and blog or Catster Profile URL when you leave your comment so we can contact the winner.
EXAMPLE:
“I want to win the ‘Companion Road How Now Brown Cow Costume’ because if I were a cow I could drink all the milk I wanted all day long!”
WHO CAN ENTER:
All cats who have either a Catster ID or blog can enter. Up to 4 cats per household can enter, so long as each one has her own blog or Catster page (joining Catster is free!). Catster and Petsmart employees are not eligible. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any entries at their own discretion.
JUDGING:
The winner will be picked at random via random.org from all eligible entries.
DEADLINE:
Entries must be posted in the comments field of this post before October 19, 2008 at 11:59pm PDT.

PetSmart® Ready to Treat – Not Trick – the Nearly 20 Million Pets Expected to Don Costumes this Halloween
Pets can have their devilish day in disguise with help from PetSmart® this Halloween. According to a recent PetSmart survey, nearly 20 million pets (with help from their parents) will sport a costume this year.
“Pets are like our children, and pet parents love to include their pets in the fun of dressing up for Halloween, said Rashell Cooper, PetSmart’s fashion expert. “Our unique selection of costumes this year are a combination of returning favorites, like the cow and bumble bee, and some great new choices, like the firedog, dragon and lion.”
PetSmart will also carry popular Disney character costumers, like Mickey Mouse, Tigger and Tinker Bell. All pet costumes are all available for less than $20 U.S. ($22 CAN).
Cats will not be ignored this Halloween. PetSmart also has Halloween hats just for cats including a devil, witch, jester, cowboy and mouse. All cat hats are available for $6.99 U.S. ($7.99 CAN).
Adding to the Halloween fun, PetSmart gives pet parents two chances to show off their pet’s personality. Pet parents can enter in PetSmart’s Online Howl-O-Ween Costume Photo Contest. The contest runs through Oct. 27 and the winners will be announced Nov. 3 on www.petsmart.com.
Howl-O-Ween In-store Event
On Oct. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m., pets and their parents can show off their stylish costumes and devilish ways at PetSmart’s annual Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest and Photo Event. The event will be held in all PetSmart stores and will feature a pet parade, prizes for contest winners and a free goodie bag for the first 100 customers. A photo package is available for $4.95 with a PetPerks card and includes a digital photo and collector Halloween-themed frame.

We like the costumes from Petsmart – each year we get something from their store. If we won, we would like the Devil Cat Hat because we have a purrfect candidate to wear it – MOL – *cough, Newman*!

My new kitten Oreo would LOVE to have the Whisker City Devil Halloween Cat Hat. He’s only five months old and is quite the little devil, waking everyone up with his scampers through the house and playtime in the middle of the night. I would buy the Jester costume for Reeses; it just suits him perfect. I bought him a Santa hat last year from Petsmart for Christmas and took some great pictures of him with a (not so thrilled) expression on his face. Somehow, I got more humor from it that he ever will.

My name is Sesame, I think I would make a good witch. My mommy loves me so, but she also knows that I don’t put up with anything from anybody. Well since there are 3 of us in the house I seem to be the only trouble maker from what my mom says , so she said she would buy the Whiskers City Devil Hat because she is always saying ” what are you up to now you lil devil”. I am always into something, so the hat would fit me very well!!!
