Do you want to enter the “Costumes and Shades” category of Catster’s World’s Coolest Cat Contest, but don’t have a costume? Petsmart will give away a free costume to one lucky reader of the Cat’s Meow blog!
Petsmart has a large array of Halloween costumes for dogs and cats, including headwear costumes that are easier for costume-intolerant cats to wear. And, between the World’s Coolest Cat Contest and Petsmart’s Halloween photo contest, you’ll have no shortage of occasions to wear your costume! Skeezix owns nearly every Petsmart Halloween Costume there is, including the cowboy costume above!
TO ENTER:
All you need to do is describe which Petsmart costume you’d like to win and why, by leaving a comment in the comments field of this post. Make sure you’ve input your correct email address and blog or Catster Profile URL when you leave your comment so we can contact the winner.
There are no limitations on the form your entry can take. It can be a simple declarative statement, a poem, or a link to a blog post that contains multimedia content including photos and video. Bonus points might be scored by telling the world why you want to win Catster’s World’s Coolest Cat Contest.
EXAMPLE:
“I want to win the ‘Companion Road How Now Brown Cow Costume’ because if I were a cow I could drink all the milk I wanted all day long, and besides, it a cool costume. Every time I nap, I dream of winning the World’s Coolest Cat Contest. This would be a dream come true. ”
WHO CAN ENTER:
All cats who have either a Catster ID or blog can enter. Up to 4 cats per household can enter, so long as each one has her own blog or Catster page. Catster and Petsmart employees are not eligible. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any entries at their own discretion.
JUDGING:
A secret team of judges will select the winning entry based on originality and entertainment value. No purchase necessary, and a purchase will not increase your chance of winning. Your entry must be a single work of original material by the contest entrant. Play nice and don’t hiss. Judges’ decisions are final.
DEADLINE:
Entries must be posted in the comments field of this post before October 19, 2008 at 11:59pm PDT.

I really want the angel wings! I’m really helpful around the house (especially with my cleaning up of tasty trash bits). I sing beautiful songs to cheer people and I like to sit on my Lap Lady’s shoulder to whisper “good” things to her.
I have that cowboy outfit! But, my sisfur wears it betfur. Horus has a clown wig furrom PetSmart. But, weeze needs to getz Scarlett somfin claws herz has to share ours, and weeze dun like to sharez our outfits. Horus and I tink she needs a witchy outfit claws she’s witchy to us all the time!
I really, really, really want…no, NEED!,,,a Whisker City Halloween clown wig. Besides being the cutest Halloween costume ever, I could also wear it year round when I was having a bad-fur day. With a multicolor afro, I would undoubtedly be a shoe-in for Catster’s World’s Coolest Cat.

I would love to win the mouse-head costume. I hear that it’s the best way to sneak up on mousies and bop them on the head. If I won I would make my brother Rudy wear it and put him to work bopping mousies and posing for photos. He’s orange and he makes a very good Halloween kitty!

Hi, dis is Fancy from the Cheezits’ blog. I’m the black kitteh, not one of da orangey ones. And dat’s why I need da cool Angel Wings costume, because I stand out! I am da only black kitteh in dis house.
Now, I like how pretty my nice pantherish coat looks, but some beans fink black cats are bad luck! Isn’t that silly?
Wif da angel wings, efurrybody would look at me and say, “Look at dat nice black kitteh, she’s not a bad luck kitteh, she’s just a little angel!” And den I would get more treats!
Plus, I would be striking a blow for black kittehs efurrywhere! Panther Power!
