Doper Stuffs Kitten in Bong
In Nebraska this week, Shadow, a sweet six-month-old kitten, was rescued after a 20-year-old doper, Acea Schomaker, stuffed her in his bong and smoked it. His defense? He claims the kitten was acting hyper and that he wanted to calm her down.

The homemade bong featured a 12″ x 6″ plexiglass box as its base, duct-taped to a garden hose.
Shadow was taken to the Capital Humane Society, where she appeared to be in good condition Monday according to executive director Bob Downey. In the police car, the cat was extremely subdued, not moving from the blanket in which she was wrapped.
“This cat was just dazed,” Sgt. Andy Stebbing said. “She was on the front seat of the cop car, wrapped in a blanket, and never moved all the way to the humane society.” She appeared to be in good condition Monday, according to executive director Bob Downey. “To the eye, the cat looks OK,” he said. “It cowers in the back of its cage like it’s a little bit afraid but, obviously, given the way it’s been treated, that’s not surprising to me at all.” Tests will be conducted to determine whether Shadow suffered respiratory damage.
Deputies discovered the cat trapped in the device after responding to a domestic disturbance call, said Sgt. Stebbing. Officers left the residence after resolving the dispute, but returned almost immediately when they discovered there was an outstanding arrest warrant on Schomaker for possession of drug paraphernalia. When they re-entered the house, deputies saw the suspect smoking the bong, with the cat trapped inside.
Schomaker was cited for misdemeanor animal cruelty and taken to the Lancaster County Jail on the arrest warrant. He was released after paying a $400 fine. He faces new charges for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The animal cruelty charge could be raised to a felony if the cat dies or is found to have suffered injury. Shadow’s owner, 23-year-old Marissa Vieux, was charged with misdemeanor animal abuse. According to police, she knew of the incident, and failed to stop Schomaker.
Who thinks Schomaker should get mandatory sterilization as part of his sentence, lest his DNA finds its way into the gene pool?

Hi Skeezy, It seems that people out there are getting worse and worse. What will be next? The courts are way to easy going on these cruel and sick people.
This is one sick human. People! How can we turn out such bad specimens? No dog pack or cat pride would tolerate such behavior.
Kittens are supposed to be hyper. Doper should be stuffed in a bong and left there.
That’s horrible, that a human would do something like that to a sweet little kitty, kittens are hyper, that’s their job! What’s also horrible is that he isn’t locked up and only charged with a misdemeanor, it should be a felony!

We would prefer that people lke this just be taken out and shot. This way court time is not wasted and there isnot worry about this person doing this again, or doing worse.
