Back in September, moderncat told you about the KatKabin, a protective outdoor cat house that provides warmth and security. Well here’s your chance to win your very own KatKabin in a brand new color — HOT PINK! Just in time for the cold winter weather!
One winner will be chosen in a random drawing on November 25.
The Limited is sponsoring a contest in which they’re looking for the best pet name story. After all, every pet has a name. Some are common like “Bob” or “Maggie” and some are more unusual like “Jeter Harris” or “Princess Ziporah.” Common or uncommon, there’s usually an interesting story behind a pet’s name and The Limited wants to hear yours!
Submit a photo of your pet, and tell them how you came up with your pet’s name! One lucky winner will win an on-location professional photo shoot with their pet, a 16GB Apple® iPod Nano with video and a $500 Gift Card to The Limited! And, just because The Limited loves animals, they’ll be making a special donation of $5,000 to our friends at the ASPCA! It’s a win-win.
The winners of Catster and Dogster’s Video Contest have been announced, and it is a bittersweet announcement. Lola is the Cat Video winner, and she takes home 100 zealies for her efforts.
Many of you know that Lola made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. It’s fitting that this video can help us remember her as a playful, Kung-Fu fighter … and a good girl.
If you have some really great photos of your cats, are willing to pay an entry fee (part of which goes to animal charities), and would like to try to win a bazillion rolls of film (ok, just 50 rolls of film, but it seems like a bazillion), the Best Friends Photo Contest might be for you. This month’s photo contest at Martha Stewart Pets is “Pets at Play.” Your winning photo could get you a year’s supply of Purina One cat or dog food. (If that’s not a flavor your cat eats, you can always donate it to your favorite shelter or a pet lover in need.)
It’s the moment yoo’ve all been wating for: the annownsmint of the winners in The Cat’s Meow’s Halloween Costume Contest and Purrade.
We had a lot of amazing entries, and the judges had a hard time narrowing down the feeld to 8 finulists.
From those 8 finulists we drew an entry at randum, using random.org to determine the Grand Prize winner (in cases where multiple family members were finulists, they only got one entry in the drawing, per the roolz). But we’re also giving out a consolayshun prize to a non-finulist winner, and a vary speshul prize to one of the finulists for overall pawsomeness.
All the other finulists git sum zealies.

In selecting the finalists, only one entry from each family is eligible for the random drawing of a grand prize winner. So there will be 8 finalists vying for the Grand Prize, to be announced tomorrow.
We will also be awarding a few additional purrizes, including 25 zealies to be awarded as a consolation prize in a random drawing from all entries that didn’t make the finals.
