Quick note to confirm that, yes, all logged-in members can now Instant Message any other logged-in member. Yippee!
To IM, go the homepage or your account page and click the link that says ‘See Who Is Online’ to see your pals that are online.

Hi everyone. We just launched a set of much-desired improvements to our top buttons and left navigation links. We hope it’s not too surprising, and once you familiarize yourself with it, you’ll wonder why we didn’t do it sooner.
At the top of all pages there are now more buttons to go deeper into the site. We’ve also removed the tab on top of pet pages, so all buttons always appear. We’ve also made the buttons smarter. For example, if you’re logged in you won’t see ‘Register.’
The really big change, however, is the left navigation links. Click a title once to see all the sub-links, click it again to close it. (and the are so cool when they open and close ;) As you surf around the menus will stay open where you left them.
There are now a lot more options to click directly to. Check out the direct links under My Account, Messages, Community, Videos & Diaries.
Login and Logout are now atop the left navigation with more options and are no longer beneath the site logo. You can now login from any page anytime. The site search is now permanently placed in the upper left of the page.
Plus members will enjoy links in the left navigation that go directly to their Zealies and how the new layout works much better on custom backgrounds.
Once you’ve had a chance to take it for a test spin we’d love to hear how it works for you. We’ll be sure to add anything we missed and fixed ANYTHING that is not working well for you.
I wanted to explain something you may have noticed. We’ve changed your cat Catster page’s URL to make them easier to remember and share.
The new style is www.catster.com/cats/53132
The last number is your cat’s Catster ID. Pretty friendly right?
Please note that the old style URLs will still work fine and will simply redirect to the new style, so any old links you shared will still work fine.

Yes, you do! We just added a whole bunch of super cool emoticons to the forums…there are smiley faces and expressions of all kinds, sleeping kitties and even birthday balloons! We hope you, the best kitty community in the world, enjoys this new treat and that you have lots of fun in your forum posts. We think we got all of the bugs out but if you notice anything weird happening, please be sure to meow us an e-mail and we’ll get it fixed right away.
