Yipppeeee! It’s time for this year’s Holiday Picture Party. Picture Parties are where anyone posts a themed photo of their pet and then anyone can do a special stroll just thru those pictures. In the past two years over 7,500 pets joined in. The Holiday Picture Party will last through early January so you can post Thanksgiving, December holiday and New Year themed photos.
You can join in at anytime or take the stroll now.

The community talks and Catster listens :) Many of you have meowed to us asking for improvements to Feline Friend requests and they are finally here!
Now when you click on the kitty that you want to be friends with, you get the option of selecting their whole family if you want to. One quick request and you can make multiple friends!
You can also review and manage all of your requests from the new Feline Friend Requests Page. It will help you stalk down who you’ve contacted, if they’ve accepted, etc.
Also, check out the new and improved HTML e-mails! There’s even one to tell you that your request has been accepted.
We hope you all enjoy the new Feline Friend features as much as we enjoyed creating them for you.

Do you love watching the videos on Catster but want to see more? Then we’ve got the place for you: Catster Video. At Catster Video you can see all your favorite kittie kat video stars in one place. You can even leave them comments, give them paw or consider their cute factor.
We’ve also made it really easy to see the favorites of all-time or from yesterday. (Though note, this just went live so the ratings still need more votes to be really qualified.)
Check it out and let us know what you think. This is a brand new feature. Don’t forget that we don’t think something is done until you tell us it’s done!
There are three days left to vote in Round 1 of the World’s Coolest Dog & Cat Show. Go to the Categories Page to see entrants you can still vote on. On Thursday morning we’ll post the 5 finalists in each category. There are many close races and so many good photos so help make sure the best ones get to the finals, and tell your friends to vote for yours!
At midnight Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday evening, voting will close and we’ll determine the top five entrants in each category. (Finalists are chosen for having the highest average vote score assuming they have received at least the minimum number of total votes. Winners in each category will be selected by our special judges and announced on the site December 7th.
Don’t forget that once the finalists are announced, each registrant can cast one vote for the Canine Best in Show and Feline Best in Show. Best in Show voting begins Thursday November 16th and ends December 6th.
