Yipppeeee! It’s time for this year’s Holiday Picture Party. Picture Parties are where anyone posts a themed photo of their pet and then anyone can do a special stroll just thru those pictures. Last year over 4,500 pets joined in. The Holiday Picture Party will last through early January so you can post Thanksgiving, December holiday and New Year themed photos.
You can join in at anytime or take the stroll now.
Happ Purridays!
Ha, ha, ha, hee, hee, hee. OMD! This is so funny I can’t stop laughing. Woof!
Now seriously, dogs, a few weeks ago the Dogster crew went down to the Marina in San Francisco to shoot a little video. We thought it would be fun to put on the big, furry dog suit and run around on the beach with all the other doggies. We were right… it was super fun! We got to play with all our doggie pals as the humans just stood around and watched. It’s so fun being a dog!
Well, we managed to get some good footage out of the morning and we made a little video to share with you.
We hope you like it! Feel free to send this to your friends, post it in bulletin boards or do whatever you want with it. Let’s get the word out about the best pet community world!
Woof!!!
Since launching the Catster forums in May of this year there have been just about 25,000 postings and almost zero occurrences of bad behavior. That is truly amazing compared to the average internet site and we cannot say how impressed we are with the Catster membership. Catster could perhaps be the most civil place on the internet! Meeeeooooowww! In the forums, we can’t believe how much information and fun is being shared there. For the members that like communicating with others, or just reading up on other’s advice they’ve become as much of a daily routine as refilling the kibble bowl.
To make sure everything stays idyllic, we’ve started a small moderator program to keep everything great. Moderators will be just like everyone else, free to purrrr it up on any topic, but they’ll also be helping to keep threads in the right place, offer answers, help new kitties, and upholding the guidelines of the community. These kitties will display a moderator moniker and will work directly with us to keep the fun and helpfulness levels high and divert anything that is less than that.
We’re really excited about this and we hope those of you that play in the forums will warmly welcome them in their new roles. If moderating is of interest to you, we’re not able to accept new requests now (though we’re grateful for the offers!) If you would like to be considered as a moderator, we’ll keep an eye out on who is always helping others out and keeping everything nice and fun.
Three cheers to our new moderators, three cheers to everyone in the forums, three cheers to everyone reading this Site Updates and three cheers to everyone using the sites. Power to the paws!
