The Daily Cat Tips

Putting dry food in a puzzle feeder toy is pretty simple but many people email me about how to create a food-dispensing toy for wet food. That’s where our dog friends come in handy. There are some puzzle feeders created for dogs that can easily be used with the cats. Kong makes many rubber puzzle toys for dogs. Go to your local pet product store and look for the petite sized Kong. Fill the inside of the toy with some wet food and kitty will have his own puzzle feeder. If your cat doesn’t get the concept initially then wipe some of the wet food on the outside of the toy as well so he gets used to licking the rubber surface. If you have a large dog, make sure you use the puzzle feeder for the cat in a separate room. Dogs shouldn’t eat cat food.

Kong now makes kitty kongs I have one for my cats and they love the “kong stuff” it comes with and I’ll stick treats inside sometimes to make it more of a challenge

So, the wet food doesn’t spill out all over the place and make a mess?
