Have you been thinking about feeding your cat raw food, but are a little uncomfortable with the food hygiene issues? If you are risk-averse but adventuresome about feeding your cat, you can use a dehydrated raw food like Prowl, made by The Honest Kitchen. This product gives you the benefits of raw food without the storage and handling issues. Go to www.thehonestkitchen.com to order a free feline sample and see how your cat likes it.

the honest kitchen does NOT give free samples of prowl cat food, the sample is $1
Yep. It’s not free. I also wonder about the taurine content of a dehydrated food
Hi, Tracie
I’ve been considering raw food for my pets recently and am shopping around for products. Do you have any kind of agreement to advertise The Honest Kitchen? Or do you endorse it because you use it and approve it? Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!
I didn’t know it was no longer free – I know many companies have stopped giving away free samples because the offer gets abused so I’m sorry I had that wrong. But $1 is pretty minor – probably less than the postage itself. As for whether I am advertising the Honest Kitchen, no – I don’t take any advertising on my radio shows or websites. I only talk about products and services that I myself believe in, use and think have superior qualities. Truth be told, I have always said that feeding raw frozen food to cats is the gold standard for a truly authentic diet for them – as noted in this tip, if you cannot cope with raw, this is another option for minimally processed food but I’d still urge you to try Feline’s Pride or Oma’s Pride or Wild Kitty for the raw frozen option. And don’t worry about the Honest Kitchen having the correct amount of taurine- of course it does! That is the essential element for any prepared cat food.
