There are lots of good reasons to keep your cat indoors: safety, health, insurance that Fluffy won’t wander away, and more time that you get to spend with your cat.
But indoor cats can crave the outside as well. Luckily, there are a few ways you can accommodate. For one, there’s the cat harness. At first, you may be dragging your kitty around but he’ll eventually learn to walk with it. Then, there’s the cat stroller. Yet another option is the enclosed cat run. However you do it, your indoor cat will thank you for the breath of fresh air. |

I’m haven’t seen a cat harness that I’m happy with, so I’ve bought a small dog harness instead. Its soft and it clips together, rather than buckles, around the body.
My real challenge is getting it on and around my cat, then I can worry about dragging them around. Any ideas?
I also have the kind that clips and it IS rather a pain. I wonder if something like this would be easier: http://www.kittyholster.com/?
I tried a harness on littlebit and he went nuts in the house. I never made them wear collars. I should of started when their were kittens, but I didn’t. Besides they very happy and healthy indoors. They don’t need to go outside. They have the best of food, toys, Lady,Bambi and Flower got brushed everyday. These cats don’t want for nothing.Tracey
Boy, it can be tough to get one used to a harness. You’re right – they certainly don’t need to go outside.
