  One of the many benefits of adopting a cat from a shelter or rescue center is that it gives you a chance to see how individual cats tolerate others. If your shelter has facilities for cats to live together in big areas then all you have to do is spend some time watching a group co-exist. This allows you to pick a cat that can co-habitate without making issues with other cats – a real “problem avoider.”
