Right on. I’ve got a diabetic dog and it’s a necessity keeping her food from getting boring. My cats are definitely more interested in eating a variety. They not only look healthier, they are healthier. I was surprised that they don’t gain weight.

Just remember that CARBS are the enemy of all cats and any dog with diabetes (there’s a good chance that the heavy carbohydrate rich diets we are giving our dogs will result in masses of them winding up with diabetes like the epidemic of cats suffering from dry-food-induced diabetes. So keep that pooch’s diet low in carbs, please! (the vet prescribed diabetes diets don’t seem to acknowledge the well-proven facts that diabetics of any species need the fewest possible carbohydrates.
