  Just as people put a jingle-bell collar on an outdoor cat to alert birds that he might be stalking them, you can do the same thing with a cat who stalks another one. By “belling” your tougher cats, the less dominant ones can hear him coming and get out of the way. This also thwarts the ability of a stalker to affect a kamikaze attack that strikes the victim out of the blue and may leave him emotionally scarred.
