Cats get tired of anything that is around all the time and readily accessible. Variety and the element of surprise motivate a cat, so leave out only a couple of toys at a time and rotate them to keep it interesting. |

Concerning toys and cats getting bored with the same old same old thing……… I have two ‘toy baskets’, one in the living room and one in our bedroom. When she is bored with her current choice of toys, she will go to one or the other of them and dig and dig around until she finds just what the doctor ordered as far as a toy to intrigue her !!!!!!! Every once in a while I do find something around the house or in a pet store that I think she might enjoy. Nothing big, but just interesting. So she never knows what might show up in her baskets. Often I find she will dig for several minutes and end up coming up with a toy from the long ago past !!!!!!!!!! Cats are absolutely the most interesting pet ever !!!!!! A home isn’t a home without a cat !!!!!!
Cheryle you are Santa Claus1 What a brilliant idea – so creative and so generous of you to sneak surprises into those toy baskets. I hope you’ll be pleased to know i am going to read your tip aloud on CAT CHAT on the Martha Stewart Channel of SiriusXM satellite radio tomorrow night!! So you just gave the cat expert a brand new idea to share with millions of listeners – bravo!
